Hair of The Day 1, 2 3 and 4!

So this blog post has four consecutive hair days in a row! I had an excellent wash day, which sets the tone for the days to follow. I also got to take some pictures outside and near natural light since it stays lighter out longer and that makes me so happy! Hopefully soon I will have wash day pictures near natural light also. Read on for more.

You can definitely still see some of my fragile and damaged areas in some of these pictures, but it is what it is. I really hate Devacurl and what they did to me and thousands of others.


WASH DAY
Here is what I used:
-Pre-Poo: Olaplex No 3
-Cleanser: The Innate Life Shampoo
-Mask: Ouidad Curl Recovery Meltdown Extreme Repair Mask
-Stylers: Save Me From Chemical Conflict, Original Moxie Everyday Leave-In, Treluxe Reflex Serum, Ouidad VitalCurl+ Tress Effects Gel, Olaplex No 7 Bonding Oil

-Technique: Applying products in small sections, massaging them in and then scrunching. I used my Aquis hair towel as usual to remove excess moisture, and then added in a little more gel and oil. Air dried. Clipped down front hairline pieces to stretch them out.

I need to talk about the Ouidad Curl Recovery Meltdown Extreme Repair Mask. I LOVED this mask a few years ago, and with a new jar I picked up, I love it again!! This is a MUST for any damage, I believe the addition of this helped to increase my curl pattern and manageability. This mask self heats, which is unusual but awesome. I didn't mind it, but be cautious if your scalp is extra sensitive. This mask is supposed to restore moisture to the hair while helping to prevent future damage. I didn't need to use much at all and only left it on around ten minutes. I'll have more details about it in the future, as I want to do a dedicated blog post reviewing and comparing all four of Ouidad's masks.

I also reached for Original Moxie's Everday Leave-In this wash. I have been LOVING everything Original Moxie lately. The line is definitely helping my hair for the better. This is another product that helps with moisture, it is rich in oils and butters and also is extremely concentrated so I don't need much at all.

DAY 2
Products Used:
-Original Moxie Scalp Therapy, Treluxe Curl Supreme 4 in 1 Hydrating Styling Cream, Original Moxie Mane Tame Weightless Frizz Control Serum

I love Original Moxie Scalp Therapy as my dry shampoo now. It refreshes my scalp, helps discomfort and promotes hair growth! I applied the Treluxe cream and Original Moxie Mane Tame in small sections again and only needed a little bit of each. The creme is very moisturizing and helps any curls that went wonky bounce back and the Mane Tame serum helped with a little frizz that popped up from my work out. My hair does stretch out a bit more on day two which I like, but what I don't like is day 2 and 3 you can notice the damage, especially to my hairline pieces a bit more. This happens regardless of what products I use because of the DevaCurl damage. That will slowly grow out and get cut off.

DAY 3
-Products Used: Original Moxie Sweet Poof Volumizing Spray, Prose Custom Curl Cream, Prose Custom Oil Blend

I usually won't use too many products on Day 3, but I wanted my hair to look extra good for some pictures with my dog to promote our favorite dachshund themed apparel and accessory brand, Bean Goods! (see discount below) I've been really enjoying Original Moxie's Sweet Poof as a refresher spray. It's not too heavy but helps repair the hair with some protein inside, plus it smells delicious!

Once again, I applied products in small sections and air dried. I used very minimal cream and oil because my hair didn't need too much and since my work out for the day was yoga and stretching, I didn't need any dry shampoo.

DAY 4
Most times I will wash after day 3, especially if I have a lot of work outs. But My day 2 hair work out wasn't too extreme and since day 3 was only yoga and stretching, I pushed my hair another day. I applied some Original Moxie Emollience Pre-Treatment and had my hair very loosely in an invisibobble out of my face, figuring let me just treat my hair. But when I took my hair out of the invisibobble to reposition it, I noticed my curls actually looked redefined, shiny and felt so soft. It looks a bit producty because I used a good amount, but if I used less I could have got away with it even more! I had to snap a picture. Emollience is another concentrated Original Moxie product where you do not need much at all. If you hair is prone to dryness, I can't recommend this one enough!! I usually use it as a pre-shampoo treatment, but it can double as a styler!
