February 2020 Beauty Favorites, Empties and A Great Wash Day with a Surprise

In this post I have a really good wash day, where I do something I super rarely do and also my beauty empties and favorites for the month of February 2020! Read on for more.

WASH DAY
I am suffering from a cold this week, and I haven't gotten sick in years so this is kicking my ass, but I still needed to wash my hair so I put some makeup on to take pictures. I did something I very rarely do and will talk about that, too.


Products used:
-Pre-poo: The Innate Life Scalp Treatment Problematic Scalp and Herbal Hair Mask...left on overnight
-Cleanse: The Innate Life herbal shampoo
-Conditioner: The Innate Life conditioner for curly hair
-Stylers: Save Me From Age Acceleration and Thermal Obsession hair reboots, Olaplex No 6 Smoothing Creme, Original Moxie Pop Life Mousse, Ouidad VitaCurl+ Tress Effects Gel, Olaplex No 7 Bonding Oil

-Technique: smoothing and roping products down in small sections, then scrunching. I used my favorite Aquis Hair towel to removed excess moisture and added in a little more gel and oil. Front clipped to stretch out. Air dried.

The Innate Life products are lovely. I’ll have a detailed review up of them early next week! 
What I did different this wash and I rarely do, is I didn’t use an additional deep conditioner after cleansing! I just used The Innate Life's pre-shampoo herbal hair mask and their conditioner for curly hair!! I rarely skip post cleansing deep conditioner but my hair felt so good, so I went with it. I noticed my hair air dried a little faster than usual, that was nice.


I’m still loving the Save Me from tip to root hair reboots. I owe them an updated review because I use them every wash and I believe they’re a big part in my hair recovery. I mixed in the thermal one this wash since I thought I was going to diffuse, but didn’t.

Yes I know I do have some frizz still. I am still recovering from damage caused by Devacurl, and my hair was never perfect to begin with. Yes I know I don’t and probably will never have that “Instagram perfect model hair,” but please don’t be mean.
