Years ago, this was one of my very favorite gels, and then product junkie-ism took over and I haven't used it in years. What a mistake!!! The formula was re-done, which made me nervous, but I think it's even better than I remembered it to be. The consistency is very light, thin and runny, yet I don't need much at all per section. Despite being lightweight, it has a strong hold that holds up for my hair through Day 3 and even survives my work outs. I notice when I use this gel on wash day now, my day 2 and day 3 hair are looking better and need less product and effort to get touched up! That alone makes it worth it. But I'm also really impressed with just how nicely this gel is bringing out the definition in my "Classic" Curls, especially since I suffered damage from toxic products that I'm still recovering from! The Tress Effects gel does such a nice job at taming my hair and making it more manageable. Also worth noting, this gel is silicone free, so if you avoid silicones you can still use this! The fragrance is nice and clean smelling.

Overall, I don't plan on straying from Ouidad's VitaCurl+ Tress Effects Styling Gel again, but I do want to try Ouidad's other gels to compare. This and everything I have been using from Ouidad lately have just been wonderful at helping to enhance my curl pattern and allow my hair to look better, longer.
