A Wash Day and Two Day 3s ("Hair of the Day")


This post is about a good wash day and also two day 3 hair days. Read on for the details!

   


DAY 3 HAIR
This was a really good day 3. I wish I had pictures from the wash day, but I wasn't feeling well that day and didn't take any. It happens. To refresh this day 3, I used the Tweak-d By Nature 2XL Volumizing Treatment Clay on my scalp as a dry shampoo and the Ouidad Curl Quencher Hydrafusion Intense Curl Cream on lengths with some Tweak-d by Nature Tribal Chocolate Texturizing Paste on my ends and front pieces since they were acting a bit unruly. I also had my front pieces clipped back for a few hours after applying product.

WASH DAY
-Pre-Poo: Olaplex no 3
-Cleanse: Tweak-d by Nature Restore Cleansing Treatment (dry hair fr 3 minutes then wet), The Innate Life herbal shampoo
-Conditioner/Mask: The Innate Life herbal conditioner with Original Moxie intense quench deep conditioner
-Stylers: Save Me From chemical conflict hair reboot, Olaplex no 6 smoothing creme, Original Moxie pop life mousse, Ouidad tress effects gel, Olaplex no 7 bonding oil
-Technique: raking products through small sections and shaking (Ouidad rake and shake technique), not much scrunching. squeezed out excess water with Aquis hair towel and added a little more gel and oil. Hairline pieces clipped to stretch out. Air dried.


I forgot how much I love Ouidad's Tress Effects Gel! I recorded a mini review all about it that will be up later this week.

I also REALLY love the Original Moxie Intense Quench Deep Conditioner. It has ingredients to promote hair growth as well as repair, and it smells amazing!!

I took some pictures near my window while my hair was still pretty wet. I am looking forward to daylight savings and hoping my hair will air dry before the sun goes down soon so I can take all my pictures in natural light.



DAY 2
Saturdays lately I've been taking it easy and relaxing with my husband. I didn't take pictures, again.

DAY 3
Another decent Day 3, which makes me think my routine is helping to conceal the damage of my lengths and hopefully also helping to repair. I say decent, but you can still visibly see some thinness and damage that was never there. sigh.

Even after Day 1 and 2, I felt I didn't need to use as much product on Day 3 as usual, which surprised me. I used the Prose Custom Leave-In Conditioner Spray followed by a small amount of their Custom Oil Blend.
Also, since the weather was warmer yesterday, we went near the water for a bit. I LOVE being near water, it just makes me feel good.
